麥嘉然｜ 香港中樂團署理高胡助理首席
生於香港，麥氏畢業於香港演藝學院獲音樂碩士（雙主修二胡及高胡），為香港活躍胡琴演奏家。麥氏現任香港演藝學院胡琴主修導師和香港中樂團胡琴樂器導師，並同時以音樂人的身分活躍於不同類型藝術活動。
麥氏先後跟隨張曉暉、陳耀星、王國潼、余其偉及張重雪學習不同種類的胡琴。在學期間麥氏曾多次獲頒發不同的獎學金以表揚其優秀表現，包括「埃克森美孚獎學金」、「垂誼樂社獎學金」和「匯豐銀行獎學金」到內地跟隨嚴潔敏深造二胡演奏，更曾多次遠赴北京跟隨陳耀星將軍深造二胡演奏， 並於2015年加入香港中樂團成為全職胡琴樂師。
麥氏曾擔任香港中樂團署理二胡首席、香港演藝學院中樂團首席、香港樂樂國樂團首席/指揮和香港青年中樂團中胡首席，其表演足跡遍及比利時、德國、捷克、澳洲、芬蘭、俄羅斯、索契、韓國、新加坡、日本、中國、台灣、澳門等地進行演出及藝術交流。
麥氏多次以獨奏家的身份與多位著名指揮家和演奏家合作，當中重要的包括:
- 與香港中樂團於「余其偉的音樂世界-從藝、從教 46 周年」音樂會中合作，演出高胡協奏曲《紫荆花》
- 與著名二胡演奏家趙寒陽先生於「王國潼80大壽誌慶音樂會」中合作演出雙二胡與樂隊《山謠》
- 與香港鋼琴家朱偉恒先生於「千古風流現沙場」音樂會中合作演出鋼琴與二胡協奏曲《尋覓.時空的旅程》
- 與知名小提琴演奏家古西薛托先生於「垂誼樂社-樂．誼國際音樂節」中合作演出二胡與小提琴雙協奏《靜.淨》
- 於2016年舉辦《麥嘉然二胡與高胡音樂碩士畢業演奏會》
- 與指揮洪俠小姐於《魚尾獅傳奇 – 情系南洋》音樂會中合作演出高胡協奏曲《魚尾獅傳奇》
- 與指揮家劉炬先生於「長城心韻-劉炬指揮二胡大師閔惠芬先生紀念音樂會」 中演出二胡獨奏曲《長城隨想》
- 與樂樂國樂團於「蓋世英雄傳」中合作和黃心浩先生一同演出雙二胡協奏曲《楚頌》
- 與指揮王甫建先生於「春花秋月-王甫建指揮專場」音樂會中演出高胡與樂隊協奏曲廣東音樂《鳥投林》。
除了中樂演出，麥氏亦經常參與跨媒體演出，包括參與Fusion音樂小組嘉迪音樂於戲曲中心表演的《悠揚音韻樂中庭》、Ensemble Transience瞬．樂團《雜秩亂序》多媒體音樂會、Ivy's Ballet Company 「足尖上的旅程」多媒體演出、全球華人流行音樂總會慈善音樂會，和多次參與大小學教育專場演出，並獲Flower Music花好音樂和虎豹樂圃邀請進行錄音工作。
MY Biography
Mak Ka Yin Dick | HK Chinese Orchestra Acting Gaohu Ass. principal
Born in Hong Kong, he graduated with Master of Music degree in Chinese Music Performance (Double Majoring Gaohu and Erhu) from The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.As an active art-related musician, He is currently Erhu instructor of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra Instruments Classes and guest musician of KD Music. He is actively engaged in art-related activities as an independent musician.
He received training in various kinds of huqin under Cheung Hiu-fai, Chan Yiu-sing, Prof Wang Guotong, Prof Yu Qiwei and Zhang Chongxue. While at the Academy, he was awarded several scholarships, including the Exxon Mobile Scholarship, the Musicus Society Trey Lee Scholarship, and the Hong Kong Bank Foundation (Hong Kong – Mainland Exchange Scholarship on which he went to the Mainland to further his training in erhu under Yan Jiemin.Moreover, he advanced his Erhu performance from Chen Yaoxing in Beijing. for numerous times.After Degree Graduation, He has been a huqin virtuoso with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra since 2015.
Mak was once the Acting Principal of Erhu Section in Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, the conductor/concertmaster of the Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association and the Academy Chinese Orchestra, and Zhonghu Principal of the Hong Kong Youth Chinese Orchestra. Apart from performing with the HKCO, he is also an active player with local orchestras in a bid to promote huqin music. He has been on tour to Australia, Finland, Russia, Sochi, South Korea, Singapore, mainland China, Taiwan and Macao for performance and artistic exchange.
As a Huqin soloist, Mak has collaborated with well-known conductors and composers. Important performances include:
- Performing Gaohu Concerto "The Bauhinia" with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in "The Musical World of Yu Qiwei -46 Years of Performing and Teaching Concert".
- Performing Duo-Erhu Concerto "Mountain Ballad" with Maestro Zhao Hanyang and the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra in "Wang Guotong at 80 Birthday Tribute Concert".
- Performing Piano & Erhu Concerto " A Journey Across Time" with well-renowned pianist Alan Chu in "Years of War - Glory and Tears" Concert.
- Performing Violin-Erhu Duo pieces " " with Finnland Violinist Pekka Kuusisto at Musicus Fest 2016 Music Concert.
- Held Solo Recital "Mak Ka Yin Dick Master of Music Recital " in 2016
- Performing Gaohu concerto "Legend of the Merlion" in the ‘Works by Liu Xijin’ concert with conductor Hong Xia.
- Performing Erhu concerto "The Great Wall Cappricio" in the ‘Min Huifen Erhu Maestro Memorial’ concert with conductor Liu Xu.
- Performing Gaohu concerto "Birds flying back to forest" in the "Spring Flower and Autumn Moon" concert with conductor Wang Fujian.
Besides traditionla Chinese music performances, Mak has also been invited to take part in numerous multi-media projetcts include: "Music at the Atrium" Music Series with KD Music Production, "Chaorder" Multi-media concert with Ensemble Transience, "Ivy's Ballet Company Le Voyage En Pointe" Dance and Music Cross-Media production, Global Chinese Pop Music Association Charity Concert, Different Schools Demo Concerts, and was invited by FlowerMusic and Haw Par Music for Recording and Filming projects.
